cause vs triggers

The idea of the cause of a disease can be a confusing thing. As I studied different branches of medicine, I realized that "cause" means different things to different people.
Depending on who we talk to, everyone has a different idea of what the cause is. This is normal because everyone has a different perspectives based on their field of expertise.

But each patient wants to understand the cause of their disease. And if they see 7 different practitioners, they will likely hear 7 different causes of the disease.

If you look at a simple disease like a headache, if the patient goes to a nutritionist, the nutritionist will look at what the patient is eating and what their food sensitivities or allergies may be. If the patient sees a chiropractor, it’s normal that they will think the headache is caused by a misalignment of the spine. If they see an acupuncturist, they will view the cause as the the meridians of energy being blocked.

So the question is: Are there many different causes? Or is it that everyone has a different understanding of the cause?

Below I’m sharing a recording of a class I taught with practitioners, where I talk in greater detail about the difference between cause and triggers. This is so important for everyone to understand.
